“You can have it all, just not all at the same time.”
How many of you have heard that phrase and wanted to just rip your hair out because it feels so patronizing and unlike your life? I certainly feel that way when someone says that to me.
I also know that my ability to express what really having it all means is not comprehensive. As a cis, white, heterosexual, happily married, middle-class woman my lived experience exists in a fairly narrow place. I would love your help to expand the perspective represented here.
This year I have a theme for every month. If you would like to do a writer swap, be interviewed, or collaborate on a piece of artistic expression related to “having it all” within that theme, I would love to work with you!
