It is, once again, the time of year when we are focusing on setting goals. While I think there are many times of year we could focus on setting goals or resolutions (think birthdays, anniversaries, the start of a new semester, and more!) this is when those New Year’s Resolutions are something we all have in common. It’s our common ground in January. If your main goal is to stay fit and healthy or to lose weight, then congratulations! You have common ground with 69 percent of Americans.
But imagine for a minute with me, what if your goals weren’t just about your body? That’s what we’ll be talking about this month. I am so excited to engage with you in talking about setting SMART goals (more on that on Wednesday!) to help you succeed in your personal and professional life, your relationship, and doing it in a holistic way. And my own writing wouldn’t be complete if we didn’t also talk about empowering our kids to set their own goals (or sometimes the goals we want them to achieve, like staying dry through the night for my oldest).
